Original ceramic sculpture by Julie Latayan. This piece comes with a mounting hole and lip to fix sculpture against wall. The heart is green with a gold foiled adornment on the top, and a flat backing. The wings are glazed white with cracks of a black base coming through.
The artist merges sculpting and painting in her work, finishing her ceramic sculptures in acrylic paint. Her inspiration come from the rich diversity of humanity’s quirks and emotions. Julie feels a heartbeat in every piece of clay and works to bring it to life in a clever and unique way. Often times, she untraditionally leaves much of her work unglazed, only glazing to highlight certain areas.
