4.5" x 6.5" hand sculpted clay sculpture by Julie Latayan. In this piece, Latayan creates a clay frame that is hand painted with gold leaf. The girl and fox sculpted image inside the frame is 3-dimensional, literally coming out of the clay frame. Merging her painting skills with ceramic sculpture, creating fresh new forms. In this way, Julie finds she express herself in both color and shape. She sculpts and fires the clay, cold finishing her pieces in acrylic paint.
