Collection: Tash Fenga

Tash Fenga is a fine art photographer whose practice is rooted in a kind of spiritual attentiveness — a sustained looking that finds the extraordinary living quietly inside the ordinary. Her images treat the overlooked and the everyday as worthy of the same reverence typically reserved for grand subjects: a weathered beach motel, a body of water catching light, the small theatres of a life most people walk past without stopping.

Fenga holds a BFA in Photography & Imaging from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where she graduated as a Founder's Day Honors recipient with departmental honors and as a recipient of the Seth Tobias Grant. Her photographic work has been exhibited at New York City's Photoville Festival, the CollegeBoard Headquarters, the Jacksonville Library, and The News Journal Center. She has been featured in Washington Square News, ISO magazine, and selected as an "Up and Coming Gen-Z Artist" by ArtPremium Magazine. In 2024, she was chosen by acclaimed photographer Renée Cox to complete an artist residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

Those who have visited Gallery500 may know her as Natasha Fenga — the Fine Art Consultant on the gallery floor, and the artist previously exhibited here under that name. The Tash Fenga collection is the pure photography strand of that practice, shown on its own terms. Her new media and mixed media work is shown here separately under her artistic identity xyca.
