Collection: Ancizar Marin

Artwork by Ancizar Marin features mixed media sculptures of climbing men who hang elegantly from a wire attached to the wall. Each piece is crafted from volcanic rock, metal, fiberglass, and automotive paints and is entirely one of a kind. No two of these sculptures are exactly alike.

Born in Colombia, Marin first received formal art training in the 1980s at the ‘Bellas Artes’ Institute in Manizales, Colombia. Marin also studied sculpture at the Luccio Petraglia School of Art in Bogota, where he grew his skill in bronze and steel.

South American travel exposed him to the melting pot of cultural influences that altered his approaches to color and texture. Currently, Marin actively works in South Florida, showcasing his work in design magazines, gallery shows, and prestigious art fairs.

The figurative forms are accessible, and allows collectors to purchase multiple sculptures at a time. This achieves Marin’s desire to encourage collectors to to engage the figures with one another in dynamic groupings. The goal is to attract the human eye and start a conversation of admiration and love for art.
