Giving Back

The holiday season is upon us. It is a time spent with family, friends and those closest to us, counting our blessings and being grateful for all that we have. As we scour stores for the best Black Friday Deals or Cyber Monday sales, we look to show our loved ones how much we care.
This time of year can be difficult for many who may not be as fortunate, however. While spreading cheer to those we love is essential to the Holiday spirit, it is also vital to spread love to those who need it most. A simple gesture such as holding open a door with a smile or paying for the coffee of the person behind you can make a difference. A larger gesture can make a wider impact. During this time of giving, Gallery500 wants to highlight a few local organizations and what you can to do to support those in need in your community.
Jeep Beach, a name many locals know, is not only the World’s Largest Jeep Exclusive Event, but it is also a non-profit, 501C3 organization dedicated to supporting the local community. Through the annual event and with the support of their “Jamily,” Jeep Beach has donated over $4 millon to local charities, such as the Pace Center for Girls, Junior League of Daytona Beach, Inc and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia & Flagler, amongst others. Youth Emotional Support (YES) “is a non-profit organization providing awareness and access to specialized mental health trainings and supportive resources for individuals, families, community allies and professional partners.” They raise funds to provide DBT training to those who could benefit the most and work to lower the stigma around mental health. The Halifax Humane society is a major asset to helping animals in our community. Their annual fundraiser “Paws & Pearls Fur Ball Gala” happens this month, featuring Emmy® winning star of Discovery Channel’s Shark Week and CBS Television’s Lucky Dog Brandon McMillan. Gallery500 is honored to support our community through various annual events, such as our Student Juried Exhibition with Volusia County Schools High School students, the ONE DAYTONA Art Festival, held April 5th & 6th 2025 and the Art of Speed on January 24, 2025. Through the Art of Speed, we raise funds for the NASCAR Foundation.
