Purple Dune

Florida artist Nancy McElroy's intricate raku sculpture is made from clay slabs and features different textures while radiating a majestic hue of purple. Nancy leaves parts of this raku piece unglazed, to emphasize its beauty. This piece draws on elements of nature to create an abstract structure that draws on associations with the earth. A medium sized Black Rainbow Carborundum is placed atop the left side of this piece.
