Original handblown glass sculpture created by father and son team Bill and Jon Slade. The artists create their unique sculptures through a handblown technique involving multiple layers of color and silver veiling, twisted and manipulated to reveal a multidimensional prism effect and intricate lacing of silver threads within the piece.
Each piece by Jon and Bill Slade are created individually and so each sculpture has its own unique design and color scheme. This particular piece featured predominantly green and yellow with hints of blue and oranges. The colors truly come to life in the light. It is part of their "Open Form" series mimicking the coral and other flowing organic life often found in the Atlantic just offshore Jacksonville, Florida.
