Sandra D. Lloyd is an award winning artist who has been painting all her life. She earned a BFA degree from Newcomb College, Tulane University and continued painting and teaching art over the years. Her paintings reflect her love of her native state of Florida in her oils, watercolors, and acrylic paintings. She has used realism, abstraction and expressionism to express her love of nature in general and Florida in particular. The use of the palette knige in her oil and acrylic works give the paint a tactile dimensionality.
Sandra's paintings are in many corporate and private collections across the country and in the Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences collection. One of her watercolor paintings is included in the Cici and Hyatt Brown collection of Florida art and in the book, "Reflections II", watercolors of Florida, 1865-2000. Her paintings are in the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Florida Art, opened in 2015.
